Questions

The kombucha

What is in it?

Purified water, grain sugar, loose leaf Camellia sinensis tea, live culture, and whatever fruit or herb the batch calls for. Nothing else. The full list in descending order by weight is on the compliance tab.

Is it alcoholic?

No. It is non-alcoholic at less than 0.5% ABV, the same threshold as a commercial kombucha. We control for this with limiting sugar inputs, so no surprises.

How long does it keep?

Our product is at a stable pH to prevent pathogen growth. The most enjoyable taste is in the first 6 weeks, aging a bit longer may be less enjoyable but still safe to consume. It's not a fine wine don't plan to save it for many months or years - enjoy it soon after receiving.

Can I choose a flavour?

Our seasonal offerings rotates. Our first few deliveries will be a mix of all our creations. We hope to launch flavor selections soon after.

Is it really made in a home kitchen?

Yes. I brew under the Arizona Cottage Food Program in a registered home kitchen in Phoenix. That is printed on every bottle and written out in full on the compliance page.

The standing order

Can I skip a delivery?

Any time before your next delivery is charged. Skip it, change the count, or cancel outright. No fee, no call, no hard feelings. Post-paid orders can be held and delayed if you need to reschedule your delivery

Can I change the count?

Yes, up or down, week to week, between 6 and 12 bottles. If you go up, the extra deposit is added to that delivery.

What if I move?

If your new address is on the ZIP list, change it in your account. If it is not, I refund the deposit and you go on the waiting map.

How do I cancel?

One button from your customer portal. Look for the account logo with your initials in the top right, or log-in first. The deposit comes back with the final pickup.

Do you deliver every week?

Only if you ask for it. Every week, every 2 weeks, every 3 weeks or every month — you choose the frequency on the product page and the price moves with it.

Delivery and glass

Do you deliver outside Phoenix?

We deliver to most of the Phoenix, East Valley Metro areas. Unserviced ZIP codes won't be able to complete checkout, and there's a service checker tool for your zip code on the homepage.

What if I am not home?

We deliver your bottles ice cold. If you aren't home, it's best to leave an empty cooler out, and put your bottles in the fridge when you return, since the carbonation can cause a foamy bottle and mess if it's not chilled when opened. We'll post photos and details to your portal tracker of the delivery and include in an email when delivered.

What happens to the empty bottles?

Leave them in a preferred place by your door before your next delivery. Your deposit rides forward until you stop, then it is refunded.

Do the bottles need rinsing?

Rinsed is kind, not required.

What if a bottle breaks?

We want to keep you happy and accidents happen. We might ask for it back or a photo if it happens a lot.

Money

What is the deposit for?

The glass. On a subscription it is $25 for six bottles and $45 for twelve, charged once on your first order, and it is refunded in full when the bottles come back for the last time. One-time orders carry no deposit at all — their higher per-bottle price covers the glass.

When am I charged?

Billed per delivery. Skip a week and you are not charged for it.

Do you refund?

If something is wrong with what I made, yes, or your next crate is on us — your choice. Say so on the day.

Is there a contract?

No. There is a place on a list, and you can leave it whenever you like.

Policies

01

Delivery

When we deliver and how we schedule

Deliveries are by Thursday at the latest, as early as Monday. No deliveries Fri-Sun.

Your first delivery will be by the first Thursday, ten days after you order, and it may arrive earlier in the week.

You'll hear from us a few days before any changes.

02

Subscription and skipping

You commit at your comfort level

A standing order renews on your chosen frequency until you stop it. You may edit the frequency, skip, change the bottle count, or cancel any time before your next delivery is charged. Post-paid orders will still come to you

A skipped delivery is not charged. Pausing gives you the flexibility to take a short break for any reason.

03

Glass deposit

Bottle Swaps and deposits keep our Prices competitive

A refundable deposit covers the glass on a subscription, sized to your count: $25 for six bottles, $45 for twelve. It is charged once, on your first order, and held while you hold the glass.

One-time orders carry no deposit, whatever the count. Their higher per-bottle price covers the glass instead.

The deposit is refunded in full when the bottles are returned at the end of your order. Broken or missing bottles are written off at my discretion, not charged to you.

Empty Bottle Swaps are expected, leave yours out for us on delivery day.

If you forget to leave them out once, catch up on the next delivery day. If you fall behind and accumulate our bottles, we'll speak up. If it continues, we'll reach out to arrange an additional bottle deposit.

I collect your name, address, email and phone because I need them to drive to your house. Payment is handled by the store's processor and card details never reach me.

What the law makes us tell you — and we would anyway.

I brew in a home kitchen registered under the Arizona Cottage Food Program. It is not inspected the way a commercial plant is, and you are entitled to know that before you drink anything I make. The same block is printed on every bottle, in the same words, at full strength.
