A Dryspell swing-top bottle of red kombucha standing on dry desert ground
Our story

Desert-inspired Arizona Magic

Every good thing in Arizona is made by something that learned to wait. Moving slow is a necessity when dealing with precious water, delicate temperatures, and letting nothing go to waste.

Dryspell borrows wisdom from the desert and its personalities to make kombucha that does more than support survival.

Kombucha thrives under similar conditions. Feed it, let it live its own way, and in a short time the magic is complete. Our bottling philosophy follows suit, taking a step away from single serving disposable cans and twist-off vessels others view as a convenience, relying rather on patience, preservation, and perpetuity to house your order.

We think kombucha should be:

Made by someone you can meet, in the month you drank it, with nothing artificial involved in the preparations. Bubbles, flavor accents, ideas, and experiences that are natural yet unusual.

The house

The Hare of Cups, and four rules under it.

The hare is on every bottle because it is the animal that survives out here by waiting and then moving all at once. The cup is what you get at the end of the waiting.

I Nothing leaves that I have not tasted.
II The glass comes back. Always.
III No place is sold that I cannot brew for.
IV What the law makes us tell you, we tell you first.
Doing less gives us so much more. I would rather the people on this list get the batch I meant to make than a thousand get one I did not taste.
